The SEC runs a programme of training opportunities aimed at supporting people at all stages of their business cycle. These include sessions on researching a new enterprise idea to planning for growth.

Specialist Social Enterprise Action Learning Groups
The Social Enterprise Centre (SEC) in partnership with Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC) recently ran a tailored training programme for existing social enterprises across the county focusing on improving business planning skills in the sector.
A limited number of bursaries were made a available through the GRCC Performance Improvement Programme and funded by the National Lotttery.. The training took the form of 5 monthly Action Learning sessions. A trained facilaitor guided organisations through the business planning process, resulting in a practical tool to take back to their social enterprise and also entry into the much coverted Social Enterprise Mark.
The Social Enterprise Mark is the national brand for social enterprises.
The Mark identifies businesses that meet defined criteria for social enterprise. and offers consumers an instantly recognisable logo that represents enterprises working for social and environmental aims, trading to benefit people and the planet.
